15-A 1P Arc Fault Breaker

As of January 2002, the Canadian Electrical code requires the use of Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs) in all branch circuits that supply outlets in bedrooms for new residential construction. A few of the typical conditions where arc faults may start include: damaged wires, worn electrical insulation, loose electrical connections, overheated or stressed electrical cords. Detects unintended arc faults, overloads and short circuits. Patented digital technology to provide unequaled protection against electrical fires. Requires 2 spaces in loadcentre. Familiar installation procedure – Installation is similar to that of a ground-fault circuit interrupter. Green push to test button.
