The junction box is made of molded non-conducting, non-corroding PVC and is NEMA rated 1, 2, 3R, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 for superior protection. It is CSA approved and is certified to bi-national standard UL50/50. The junction box is designed for installation within a rigid non-metallic conduit system and is approved for indoor and outdoor applications. It has a flat, shoebox-style lid and comes complete with captive fasteners and pvc gaskets.
