Stiebel Eltron Scale TAC-ler Plus Water Conditioner

Scale TAC-ler Plus water conditioner works with all tankless and tank water heaters to prevent hard water scale. Preventing scale formation ensures water heater optimal performance, increases service life, and may prevent premature failure. Scale TAC-ler Plus installed on the cold water inlet of the water heater will prevent future mineral build-up by treating water entering the water heater, providing protection for flow rates up to 6 gallons per minute. Scale TAC-ler Plus uses a process called Template Assisted Crystallization, or TAC. A specialized polymeric bead medium serves as a catalyst for the formation of calcium and magnesium carbonate nano-crystals which remain suspended in the water and pass through to the drain instead of forming hard mineral scale on surfaces. A university study determined TAC technology was the most effective non-salt water conditioners, with scale reduction levels in excess of 90%.
